Sarah Ward M.S. CCC/SLP is one of today's leading speakers on the topic of executive function skills.  She has, in
the past 14 years, presented locally and nationally to thousands of parents, educators and mental health
professionals.  Her presentations are largely based upon her own professional experiences as a clinical speech
and language pathologist, as well as her personal experiences as a mother and wife.  Her combined experiences
helping hundreds of clients, and as a working mother, make her presentations anecdotal and renowned for
containing functional strategies that are both practical and easily implemented in daily life.  In addition to her
speaking engagements, Sarah has consulted to schools and school systems, mental health agencies, and
businesses on how to implement strategies and create a culture that promotes the development of strong
executive function skills.

For individuals, parents and professionals in every field, Sarah provides expert guidance on the most fundamental
issues of executive function skills:

...increasing goal awareness and independent task execution
...sensing and managing the passage of time
...having forethought and using hindsight to plan and self-evaluate learning effectiveness
...organization and management of personal materials and how to maintain personal and shared living and work
spaces
...Improving a student’s ability to be flexible and to see the 'gray' in situations
...helping individuals to develop a range of solutions to problems and to adapt to 'unexpected' change
...balancing the demands of home and school
...dealing more effectively with emotions including behavioral outbursts, anxiety and/or ‘shut down’ behaviors in
the face of overwhelming task demands.

Sarah offers 60-90-120 minute presentations for state and national conferences as well as half-day, full-day or
longer workshops that meet the needs and interests of teachers, parents, community members, school
administrators, educators, mental health and health care professionals.  Scheduled speaking engagements can
be found on the link to the speaking engagements calendar.
